13 years ago Craig Courtney-Leaver had an idea to start a business that revolutionised rim repair in South Africa. His bankers thought he was mad, but they took a chance on him anyway. His relationship manager at the time together with Paul du Bruyn, Head of Business Banking at Grobank (formerly the South African Bank of Athens), helped him develop financial models and forecasts that allowed him to obtain the funding he needed to grow his business.

In 2018, Tiger Wheel & Tyre bought into the company and they now have 32 stores nationwide. It’s clear Craig and Paul have been on this journey together – Paul seems as proud as if it was his own business, and Craig considers him a close friend. That’s what real partnership looks like
