Alliance Banking has become central to the Access Bank strategy, and we have seen significant growth in market opportunities for this specialised service.
Part of our growth strategy is the introduction of new skills and proficiency, so we are delighted to share our appointment of the new Head: Alliance Banking, Meagan Rabe (BCOM, LLB, CFP), effective 1 November 2021.
The Access Alliance Banking team is continuing to grow and change as we build our own abilities to continue to provide leading capabilities in developing and running these important strategic partnerships. Our group presence in more than 10 African countries means we can now also open new opportunities and markets with and for our key alliance banking partners.
Reporting directly to our CEO, Chrisanthi Michaelides, Rabe joins the team from Sasfin Bank, where she garnered significant experience in building new alliance partnerships.
A seasoned Banking executive with a strong innovation mindset, Rabe has developed banking product and divisions from grass roots level to sizeable businesses, and has a wealth of banking, payments, lending, legal and commercial experience to head up Alliance Business as we grow capacity to serve this sector.
Says Rabe: “I look forward to building on Access Bank’s existing Alliance Banking competence, leveraging off new technologies and open banking frameworks to offer a superior service to our partners and clients in South Africa and across the continent.

Rabe joins Access Bank at a seminal time for Alliance Banking, as we take our robust legacy and experience in this business to scale up capacity to ensure our position as a leader in this important division.
As Alliance Banking grows and develops with our partners in the coming months, we will introduce our new team of Relationship Managers, Technical Specialists, Project Managers and Analysts to deliver on the projects and solutions we co-create with you, our valued client, in constantly shaping a successful future for Alliance Banking.
