About

The Access Bank Womenpreneur, Pitch & Match Investment Event, powered by Regenesys School of Entrepreneurship, took place in August in celebration of Women’s Month. Now in its fourth year, the event was more than just a competition – it was a catalyst for change.

Theme: Where Africa’s Boldest Women-Led Businesses Meet Investment

Throughout the month, we brought together fearless founders and forward-thinking investors for a powerful celebration of women entrepreneurship. On 10 August, applications officially closed, marking an overwhelming response from women entrepreneurs across the continent – each ready to showcase their bold visions and unstoppable drive.

The journey culminated on 21 August 2025 at the Regenesys Campus in Sandton, where the live Pitch & Match event took centre stage. Visionary women entrepreneurs pitched ideas that are reshaping industries, uplifting communities, and driving the future of technology and innovation. Investors connected with purpose-driven founders, unlocking opportunities for funding and sparking real transformation across the continent.

This August, we witnessed courage, creativity, and the power of possibility. Women stood tall, bold and brilliant – the energy was electric as many took their first steps towards mentorship and funding opportunities.

Why It Mattered:

Empowered with Funding

Entrepreneurs from a range of women-led businesses stood a chance to receive tailored financial solutions and catalytic grants. In total, we channelled over R75 million in investments into the women and businesses we believed in.

Partnerships Forged

Entrepreneurs pitched their ventures to a curated audience of investors actively seeking impactful, scalable businesses to support.

Refined Their Pitch

Participants gained access to expert coaching, sharpening their strategies and presentations to meet world-class standards.

A Movement Built

Every founder became part of a powerful community of women driving innovation and rewriting the rules of business across our continent.

In total, over R75 million in potential investment was unlocked for women-led businesses.

But the competition was not just about funding, it was about providing catalytic capital designed to scale ideas, fuel innovation, and transform businesses into ventures that shape the future of Africa.

By placing a significant investment on the table, we gave founders more than just opportunity – we gave them the backing to:

  • Expand into new markets
  • Accelerate product development
  • Create sustainable jobs
  • Compete on a world-class stage

The allocation of funds was carefully considered by our expert judging panel, balancing the strength of each pitch with the real needs of the businesses.
